Parking Options

Located just 7km from Melbourne CBD and 15 minutes from Melbourne Airport, Melbourne Showgrounds is easily accessible by public transport or car. Access to the show is via Gate 7, Langs Road, Ascot Vale.

Allow plenty of time to find a park as this is a crowd related event. If in doubt, we recommend public transport as a great solution.

Casual Parking

Melbourne Showgrounds provides limited onsite parking for events.

Pedestrian Access

Pedestrian entry can be gained via Gate 1A, Epsom Rd, Ascot Vale

Public Transport

Train

Melbourne Showgrounds has its own train station that operates for selected events only. Special event train details will be made available via the Showgrounds website if available.

Metro Trains
First train to arrive at 09:50am (Gates to open at 10:00am)
20 minute frequency all day to Showgrounds until last train (last train to depart at 5:30pm)
Services will run to Flinders Street

Forward
Trains from Flinders Street – Southern Cross – Nth Melbourne – then express to Melbourne Showgrounds

Return
Trains Showgrounds – express to Nth Melbourne – stop at Southern Cross and then Flinders Street Station

Bus

Bus No. 472 (Williamstown to Moonee Ponds) stops along Langs Road.

Route 57 tram (West Maribyrnong to Elizabeth Street, City), stops at stop 32 (Showgrounds Village Shopping Centre on Epsom Road). Please listen to onboard announcements or check with your tram driver.
