Parking Options
Located just 7km from Melbourne CBD and 15 minutes from Melbourne Airport, Melbourne Showgrounds is easily accessible by public transport or car. Access to the show is via Gate 7, Langs Road, Ascot Vale.
Allow plenty of time to find a park as this is a crowd related event. If in doubt, we recommend public transport as a great solution.
Casual Parking
Melbourne Showgrounds provides limited onsite parking for events.

Car Parks for The Pet Show, Melbourne 2025 are: Western Non Core and Carnival Car Park via Gate 7.

Metro Trains
Getting to and from Melbourne Showgrounds
Trains run from Southern Cross (Platform 8), stopping at North Melbourne (Platforms 1/2), then express to Melbourne Showgrounds (Platforms 1).
- From 9:45am, trains leave every 30 minutes.
- From 10:45am, trains leave every 20 minutes.
- From 1:05pm, trains leave every 30 minutes.
From 10:45am, trains extend from Melbourne Showgrounds to Flemington Racecourse, for the Howden Guineas Race Day.
Before 12pm, trains return express with passengers and not stop via North Melbourne enroute to Southern Cross.
From 12pm, trains stop via North Melbourne enroute to Southern Cross.
The last train from Southern Cross to the Showgrounds leaves at 3:38pm.
The last train from the Showgrounds to Southern Cross leaves at 4:16pm.

Accessibility
All metropolitan trains are wheelchair accessible and have allocated spaces for passengers using mobility aids. To know where to get on the train, look for the wheelchair symbol marked on train platforms. At the first door of the first carriage, the driver can provide a ramp to help you get on and off the train.
All metropolitan stations are accessible via ramps or lifts, except for Heyington Station. Some ramps on the network are steeper than others - you may need the help of a friend or carer to access them. For more information, please visit Public Transport Victoria
Accessible Parking at the Melbourne Showgrounds is available in the Western Carpark. These spaces cannot be reserved. Please advise the gate attendant to be directed and arrive early to gain an accessible carpark as spaces are limited.
